4/30/13 Keys tarpon in april

Well bait was tough today luckily I had some leftover from yesterday.  The live mullet were not delivered in the morning and very tough to come by I only saw a handful in one of the tight channels we run through, however too dangerous to throw in there with boat traffic and customers driving my boat!  Anyways we caught 3 out of 3 tarpon all on dead bait on the bottom.  Also got a big 150 lb goliath grouper in one of the local islamorada channels which is pretty unusual!  Another great day tarpon fishing in the florida keys in april!

4/29/13 Keys tarpon fishing at its finest!

Fished another full day tarpon fishing trip in Islamorada today.  We had plenty of left over mullet from yesterday plus a dozen livies from this morning.  We stuck around Islamorada again for our april tarpon fishing charter.  We ended up going 5 for 10 on big tarpons all in the 50 to 100 lb range.  Michel was thrilled to be able to jump in the water to get a picture with one of the beasts.  We dodged some rainstorms off and on, but the overcast seemed to keep them biting fairly good.
