Fishing the channel 2 bridge was still productive today. We had a little west wind today not very hard though it picked up a little in the afternoon. The fish didn’t seem to mind we had a few cheap shots right away and eventually hooked and landed a nice 80 lber. I had him on the leader and he took off and we got tip wrapped and lost him before we could get a good picture. By the time we got back tide was slacked and we adjusted once it started coming in. Soon we hooked another 60 lb and he drug us quite a ways and never jumped. We got him to the boat multiple times and eventually he came unbuttoned. No good boatside pictures but two fish to the boat. After that we tried some other stuff the patch reef fishing was very good we got 10 keeper hogfish plus a variety of other stuff. 2 for 3.

3/22/15 Florida Keys Bridge Tarpon Fishing
Well I was suppose to have the day off today though I switched it around with next Thursday. I had a regular of mine Alex who had me booked that morning but was able to switch it to today which worked better for me. It proved to be a good move. I had plenty of mullet from yesterday afternoon which we had caught, and caught a few livies on the way out this morning. We set up where the school of fish was yesterday with the last trickle of falling tide. I put the live mullet out and action was almost instant we had a couple cheap shots, missed one bite, then a few minutes later hooked this nice 50 lb fish. We landed him and had a few good jumps. Alex was done after that and we went meat fishing which was excellent we got our limit of hogfish and came home. I have the next few days and then Thursday and Sunday I finally have a couple days off after going for a month straight! 1 for 2
3/21/15 Half day islamorada tarpon fishing report march
Hung around town today tarpon fishing as I just had a 3/4 day we ended up cutting to a half day. We caught a few live baits this morning they weren’t easy but enough to get by. Fished down by channel 2 bridge and found quite a few fish in the bay. We had the start of the incoming tide and flat calm. At first it was a little weedy but it cleared up. We got the fish going OK it took a little work and moving around but we got lined up and they started getting happy. Quite a few ‘cheap shots’ on the live mullets plus only had a few decent size ones, the rest were very large baits too big for the tarpon to eat almost. But we hooked and caught a couple and had another 4 solid bites, plus several other cheap shots and busts. Good fishing for a half day close to home! 2 for 6
