6/1/15 June Islamorada Tarpon Fishing Report

Good fishing for us today we got out early and we caught one close to home in the first hour.  Stubborn fish not huge but he put up a good long battle, about 65 lbs.  After that we ran in the backcountry off cape sable.  Found a good school of fish off the beach.  Took a little while to get dialed in on them and we had to keep moving around, but we worked it and caught 3 out of 5 back there.  Wonderful day 4 tarpon landed you can’t beat that!  Lots of the ‘summer time’ smaller resident fish back there, but they are a blast.  Great to be seeing them hopefully it’s a good sign for our July and August.  4 for 6
