6/4/20 June Bridge Fishing for tarpon

Great day with Dan and Zack.  Weather was a little iffy but we met in the morning and made the call.  Looked like we’d be able to sneak out for a little while at least, but it turned out to be nice most of the day and we ended up coming home right before a big squall came through.  But cut it a little short doing a 6 hour trip and the boys each landed 2 nice tarpon.  We even had a double header hooked up but had to break one off as they went through different bridge spans.  Zack got a moose maybe 160/170 lbs I don’t know but huge, couldn’t get it to roll over for pics ended up breaking off but on the leader for a long time.  But dad got one in for good pictures and we got some great video too.  Speaking of which here is the latest youtube vid, my day with Jonathan and Kaylee a few days ago.

6/3/20 June Tarpon Fishing in Islamorada on fire!

Great day with Chris and Diane.  We fished a full day locally around town… tarpon were biting!  We landed 5, mostly big fish with a couple over 100 lbs and the rest in the 80-100 lb range.  Good action on live baits they were really blowing up the mullets.  We had action on the incoming and falling tide just all day long really.  Fishing is really good right now, come on down and get some!  YouTube video should be out in a few days.

6/2/20 Half Day Epic bridge tarpon fishing bite!

Got out with Jonathon and Kaylee today for a half day trip.  Had a last minute cancellation and I normally don’t do many half days but figured I’d take what I could and conditions looked pretty good.  We got out early for a little better tidal window.  Caught a nice tarpon right off the bat that Jonathan got to jump in with and get pictures of!  We then got some live bait and headed to the bridges.  The bite was going off, every bait we put out got piled on quick.  Tarpon, jacks, cudas…  We caught 3 more tarpon including a 150 lber!  Missed a couple others, and caught a big jack and a few big cudas.  Just hot and heavy action it was a lot of fun.  Tide slowed down around 9 and it was time to go home after that and we caught our last fish right around 9:15 so perfect timing.  4 nice tarpon landed in 4 hours, can’t beat that!

Also just launched latest youtube video.  A cool compilation of Pete’s big everglades tarpon from a couple days ago.  Mic went out on the gopro but we put it to music and it’s really cool!
