6/5/20 June Tarpon Fishing in the Florida Keys stays red hot!

Great day with Gustavo and his son Pedro.  He really wanted Pedro to catch a tarpon… and he got to catch 3!  Dad got to catch one as well (a real moose 150+ lbs!)  Pedro had one big one that we got on the leader as well but didn’t cooperate for pics, but he did get two to the hand in the 40 and 60 lb range.  Great fishing again they bit all throughout the day, not a ton of bites but we made most of them count.  Bait is getting a little tougher at the moment and that will be the biggest factor in good fishing for me coming up.  I’m hoping to stock up on some on my day off to help get me through the upcoming days!  But fishing in Islamorada is really good right now for tarpon.

6/4/20 June Bridge Fishing for tarpon

Great day with Dan and Zack.  Weather was a little iffy but we met in the morning and made the call.  Looked like we’d be able to sneak out for a little while at least, but it turned out to be nice most of the day and we ended up coming home right before a big squall came through.  But cut it a little short doing a 6 hour trip and the boys each landed 2 nice tarpon.  We even had a double header hooked up but had to break one off as they went through different bridge spans.  Zack got a moose maybe 160/170 lbs I don’t know but huge, couldn’t get it to roll over for pics ended up breaking off but on the leader for a long time.  But dad got one in for good pictures and we got some great video too.  Speaking of which here is the latest youtube vid, my day with Jonathan and Kaylee a few days ago.

6/3/20 June Tarpon Fishing in Islamorada on fire!

Great day with Chris and Diane.  We fished a full day locally around town… tarpon were biting!  We landed 5, mostly big fish with a couple over 100 lbs and the rest in the 80-100 lb range.  Good action on live baits they were really blowing up the mullets.  We had action on the incoming and falling tide just all day long really.  Fishing is really good right now, come on down and get some!  YouTube video should be out in a few days.
